I know most of you could care less about this one but i thought you might find it interesting that the Cowboys QB's are Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, and Woody Dantzler. That's right the Cowboys are now sporting an ex Bulldog, Gamecock, and Tiger QB. For those of you who don't know this all three are huge rivalries with each other.

Are you sure he signed as a QB?

I still say he's going to Canada if he wants to be a QB. There is still Hutchinson there also, and he isn't getting paid well to be a backup. Carter and Hutch will fight it out for the starting job.

I just assumed that he signed as a QB since he really wants to play QB. Some of his quotes sound like if he's not playing QB he's going to Canada. My guess is that he'll try out for QB and if he gets cut he'll end up in Canada or Europe.
I still think that if Woody's going to play QB in the NFL the cowboys are the right team. They seem to run the ball at QB more than most teams. He'd make a good 3rd string with very limited play but the upside of being able to put him in MULTIPLE positions is his definite upside. He'd make a great punt/kickoff returner in the NFL while still being able to play 3rd string QB. We'll see though

He'll get PT with the Cowboys unless I missed it and they signed a good QB or drafted one.
Didn't they play Quincy Carter for a while and he got his ass kicked all over the field. I can't even remember who they put in after that.

Yeah Quincy was pathetic. He got hurt in week 1 last year...get this - he tore his hamstring dropping back to pass. Not on a roll out or a scramble, just a simple 5 step drop. <img border="0" alt="[Laughing]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> They used Ryan Leaf(sic) and Clint Stoerner (remember...the guy that fumbled against Tennessee in 1998 when the Hogs had #1 UT beat) while Quincy was injured.

I watched one game where Quincy was playing Washington and at one point in the game he ran the ball some 12 or 13 times in a row. Not one single pass. Drove the cowboys right down the field. Actually now that i think about it, i don't think he got any first downs himself the skins gave them 3 or 4 first downs on penalties. He might of gotten one but who cares, if thats what they want out of a QB trust me Woody is a perfect fit in Dallas.

Jerry Jones and his puppet of a head coach Dave Campo want to run the option offense, which I don't understand. I saw Quincy plenty of times on TV when he was at UGA and he is a pathetic option QB. I agree...with Woody's running ability, he could thrive in that kind of system.

As a longtime Cowboys fan, these last few years have been pure hell. The pick of Roy Williams is a good one. The Quincey Carter pick of last year kind of threw me for a loop. Because I live in Virgina, I was thinking (and hoping with all my might) that perhaps he could be an athletic QB like Vick. Carter has some athleticism. He can get out of the pocket, something of which Troy did not do. But I miss the accuracy of Troy. He didn't have to rush out of the pocket because he had that phenomenal offensive line with Erik Williams (gone), Nate Newton (I'm not even going there), and Larry Allen (one of the last left). Troy was so accurate. I cannot say the same for Quincey, but we Cowboy fans have to give him time. I'm gonna be watchin' my boy Emmitt go for the record this year. I'm gonna cry when he does it too!
