OMFG. Furman scores with 7 seconds left to take a 15-14 lead of Appalachian State. They go for 2 (why??) -- and it is intercepted and ran back 101 yards -- ASU wins 16-15

WTF? Shades of Baylor/UNLV a few years ago when all Baylor had to was kneel down to win the game, but decided to run a play. They fumbled at the UNLV 1yd line and Vegas ran it back 100 yards for the winning TD with about :05 left.

That makes no sense to go for two with :07 left. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" /> Like you said, there's no need for two more points that late. If it was me, I'd just kneel down so there would be no way to have a botched attempt. Then squib kick and by that time all they would have was one hail mary play. Unreal!

The play looked a little like this:

[Image: Oct14865.JPG] The pass was thrown into triple coverage, but Furman came up with it and went up 15-14 w/ :09 left.

[Image: Oct14866.JPG] The 2pt conversion was picked off.

[Image: Oct14860.JPG] The LB laterals it back to a cornerback.

[Image: Oct14863.JPG]Here comes the convoy.

[Image: Oct14871.JPG] The QB was the only guy that had a shot to get him, but failed.

[Image: Oct14874.JPG] Now he's long gone...

[Image: Oct14884.JPG] The entire goalpost just popped out of the turf...literally. They're lucky no one got hurt.

[Image: Oct14889.JPG] LOL...there they go. That goalpost probably went down every street in Boone, NC.
