My wife is up in manassas virginia right now with my son and she just called me saying the sky is green, there is golf ball sized hail falling from the sky, and road signs and store signs are flying through the air... she is scared, and so am I..

everybody pray that the storm will pass where she is without touching down...

All I know is if I see a dark cloud, I'm going to the bar.

Actually, I'll probably do that even if I don't see a dark cloud...

Another Md. Tornado Damages Homes

The Associated Press
Friday, May 3, 2002; 3:27 AM

BAY VIEW, Md. –– A tornado – the second in less than a week to hit the state – damaged homes, uprooted trees and knocked down utility poles in northern Maryland.

The storm hit the area just before 6 p.m. Thursday, National Weather Service officials said. There were no reports of injuries, but the roofs of four homes were damaged and one home under construction was demolished, said Mike Dixon, a spokesman for the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services.

One family was left homeless when its house lost most of its roof, he said.

On Sunday, three people were killed, nearly 100 were injured and hundreds of homes and businesses were either damaged or destroyed by a powerful tornado that ripped through Charles and Calvert counties.

That tornado was rated at F5 on the Fujita scale, the most powerful level. It was the first F5 twister ever recorded in the state.

I've claimed the pantry in our house in case of a tornado. I was pretty scared yesterday evening, but my sister man was worst you woulda thought she stood in the middle of the tornado.
