How did you convert live broadcast files (and others) into mp3's (i.e. final minute of Duke's win)? Is it a program that you bought, downloaded, etc?

I put my mic between my headphones and ear (convienent... lets me listen while it records) -- then cut on Windows Sound Recorder and cranked up the quality on it. Recorded with that (be sure to press the button again every 60 secs when the slider runs out) -- then saved it (only lets you save as a .wav) -- then used a freeware .wav to .mp3 converter from Droopy Eyes Software.

That's how I made those GT audio clips a while back (I just didn't convert them to mp3). I wasn't sure if there was a different way to do it or not.

I have no idea if it's still available, but a couple of years ago I used TotalRecorder quite a bit. It allows you to record streaming audio. The free version only allows you to record 45 or 60 second clips though.
