While watching the Dallas/Tennessee game late in the 4th quarter, I heard one of the commentators say that it was "time for the Cowboys to strap it on."

Strap what on?

I didn't get to see that game, but as far as the Cowboys are concerned, I have some misgivings about their signing of Chad Hutchinson.

Yeah, I know he used to be a QB at Stanford ... but if he plays football anything like he played baseball (he pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals system for a couple of years or so), then I feel for the Cowboys.

I remember when the Memphis Redbirds came to Oklahoma City to tussle with the Oklahoma Redhawks during the 'hawks' last homestand of the season. Hutchinson was called out of the 'pen and gave up something like 10 runs in a game that turned out to be a hellacious laugher. In fact, I remember quite a few times between the AAA club and the Cardinals where Hutch got shelled a lot.

I wish him the very best of luck in his football career.
