Classless Wuffie fans get own3d by SI.
Quote:Bravo: To Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt, who verbally scalded the handful of North Carolina State fans taunting Tech's Theodis Tarver for having his academic eligibility dismissed, then restored.
Safety school: Hard to believe those idiots taunted Tarver about academic anything. Um, hello? He goes to Georgia Tech. You go to N.C. State.

I generally respect what Doyel has to say, but perhaps he needs to think before he speaks. For one thing, when an institution's accepted applicants collectively average above a 4.0 GPA (as N.C. State does), no one has a place to question its academic prestige. N.C. State is certainly among the top engineering institutes in the country. Another thing, while the fans' response to Tarver's inedgibility might have been 'classless,' it is Tarver's own fault he was in the situation to begin with. Regardless of Georgia Tech's supposed academic prestige, I guarantee you that Tarver was not accepted because of intellectual ability. In fact, any moron who cannot manage to find the motivation to make decent enough grades to play basketball should receive zero sympathy from anyone. I do however have soft spots for incompetent sports writers who know nothing of an institution yet have enough gall to make assumptions and propone them as fact.
I guess any words over 3 syllables are tough for those N.C. State grads....lmfao lmfao
