BS testing? i don't follow. when a guy fails a test, everyone applauds and says that the testing is finally working. when he doesn't fail (and everyone wants him too) they call the testing BS.

here's an interesting quote:

"As the track and field world championships began this weekend in Helsinki, Finland, officials boast they will conduct the largest anti-drug campaign in their sport's history. One in every two athletes will be tested.

But don't expect any bombshells. Some say such in-competition testing is so easy to pass that only the most dim-witted are caught."

another one:

"With sprinters running faster than ever this season, drug testers are acknowledging for the first time that their policies are not as effective as the U.S. Congress and the rest of the world have been led to believe."

i guess they consider you the rest of the world.

Are you serious? I thought message boards were about people exchanging different ideas and opinions. If he's done something that truly warrants being banned, then I would agree with you, but he hasn't. He just doesn't always agree with you.

I was half kidding. But he takes everything personally and he is always in attack mode. I find it much more enjoyable sans-swoosh.

Hmmm... it is nice to see how you can repeat your dad and his political party's lines, but can't actually think for yourself.

That is a broad generalization that has been pushed by the republican party, but is not anywhere close to true. Yes, there are some liberal professors, but as someone who went through business school, damn near all of them were extremely conservative. It all depends on what type of major you have in terms of the professor's political views. Also, on top of that, most of them just stayed away from talking politics, because no matter what you end up in an argument that takes away from what the class is teaching as it is.

see terpy this is what i meant. is "where's your common sense" worse than telling someone they can't think for themselves? And no, MLB i'm not repeating my dad's party lines. i'm in college, so i have firsthand experience. i haven't had one professor who doesn't lean left. even my spanish prof. who is a catholic sister, spews off liberal crap all day and every day, and i mean every day, because it's a 6 hr class that meets everyday. so don't pull the "you can't think for yourself" on someone who is actually in college, save it for the highschool kids.

You get what you get at Western Carolina... at any major University you will find both sides, and you just have to learn to wade through the **** and deal with it. I'm sorry you have only seen one side of politics, but trust me, plenty of people see the other side.

I went to a private school nearly all of my professors leaned toward the left and I was a history major, just for reference.

Maybe its a little different with public schools, but in private schools even though the donors and the students tend to be rightists the faculty and to a lesser extent the administration is almost completely liberal. Most outside of the political science department are able to keep their politics to themselves but I had an English professor who definitley wasnt afraid to show his liberal side, even though he constantly denied he had a bias while bashing fox news. It was a journalism class so his liberal bias was expected. I am a republican but he was still one of my favorite professors.

Ok im starting to babble I will stop.
