PM, email Problems
I don't know if this is a known problem or if it just affects me, but PM's and emails to me haven't worked since around the first of the year. I changed my email address in my profile about that time, and was locked out of the account for a short time.

The email address that I changed to was a gmail.com address that is like:
[code:1]spammunger+arbitrarystring@gmail.com[/code:1]

Both gmail and yahoo have schemes where you can build an arbitrary string into your email address. With yahoo, you have a base name and register the arbitrary string in a list of allowed addresses - only those in your list will make it through to your email account. Gmail's scheme is to let you put whatever you want into the string and you can filter your mail as you want. Gmail's base string is your regular account, while Yahoo's base string is one that is not a regular account, but is associated with your account. The problem with Gmail's scheme is that if someone gives you an address like "spammunger+ncaabbs@gmail.com" they can still send spam to you at "spammunger@gmail.com". With yahoo's scheme, the second address is a black hole.

At any rate, some software has problems with email addresses that have a "plus" in them. Phpbb/ncaabbs.com appears to be one of them. If the problem with PM messages only affects me, then it may somehow be assciated with the gmail address. In this case, could someone update the database and remove the text including and after "+" in the first part of my address?

Thanks.
