Yeah, go back to Hartford where you belong...

If that is the case, then someone needs to send the Hornets and their owner back to Hell.

i get the feeling you don't like charlotte.

Ummm, they aren't in Charlotte anymore, and I was a Hornet fan until the owner pulled his crap.

you said "back to hell." seeing as how the hornets started in charlotte, i figured you meant 'back to charlotte.'

No, I meant Hell, not Charlotte.

The funniest part is that they are selling out games there. They haven't been doing that in NO.

Start with Choking your coach and only being suspended for a year.
Fighting in the stands.
Rasheed Wallace
etc.
etc.

Give New Orleans the Jazz nickname back, and then we'll talk.

Like Jazz is big in Utah. lmfao Call them the Utah Door Knockers, or Utah Bicyclists.

When did the Sprewell incident happen? YEARS ago.
Baseball players have jumped in the stands and fought (there's someone in Cooperstown right now who was pretty bad about it). So have hockey players in recent years.
What has Rasheed done that is "thuggish"? Stay married and not cheat on his wife? Be a strong family man? Oh, wait, let me guess...
And what are your et ceteras?

Now, if your point of view here is correct, then we should review the last decade of NBA basketball (shoot, if you want to bring up an incident that happened about 8 years ago, we might as well go back through the last decade), tabulate the total number of players who have played in the NBA during that time, and calculate ratio of "incidents" involving these players. I think that your statement will be acknowledged for what it REALLY is about with you.

Hey soph, it's my opinion. I guess you didn't realize that. By the way, I don't care for MLB either. They play ~4 billion games a year and really only play hard when it comes down to the end of the season (Once again, that is my opinion). FTR I am not real big on any pro sport except for the NFL.

Why don't you get over yourself.

And, the only one that is racist on this board, day in and day out, is yourself. Now, go crawl back under your entitlement rock.

Why don't you get over yourself.

The statement that the NFL is a bunch of "thugs" is usually a telling statement about the person making the comment.

FWIW, I'm not the biggest fan of the NBA; I like a couple of teams, primarily based on style of play, but I really prefer the college game.

That, and I wish that the NHL had a better TV contract. I keep forgetting about OLN, and Turner South decided that they wouldn't show the Thrashers during the second half of the season, which just happened to be in the season where the Ice Birds were in the playoff chase until the last two games of the season.

Now GrayBeard, let's stop the projection here.

And please QUOTE where I mention any sort of entitlement.

Once again, thank you in advance.

They're selling games out because they are charging 5 and 10 dollars a ticket instead of what they were charging at NOLA Arena, which was much closer to league average. For the few games that they played in NOLA this year, they sold out.

how can anyone not think the NBA and NFL are full of thugs?

GB you forgot to mention damon stoudamire and his countless drug convictions, ruben patterson and his rape of his kids' nanny, glenn robinson's beating of his wife, bonzi wells and his disrespect for a cop, sam mack's armed robbery of a fast food joint in Iowa and having the charges dropped because johnny orr showed his face at the trial. shall i go on?

Soph you, more than anyone here, needs to read:
Out of Bounds : Inside the NBA's Culture of Rape, Violence, and Crime
and
Pros and Cons : The Criminals Who Play in the NFL

Nice way to take a few incidents and say that it's ALL of them.

That's like saying that all CEOs are corrupt because of Enron and the other recent scandals.

maybe i didn't make it clear... shall i go on? how 'bout the woman who got violently beaten in dale davis hotel room while he was in there yet he claimed he couldn't hear anything? i suppose shaquille o'neal assaulting a young woman in florida means nothing to you? i guess it's ok that allen iverson threw a woman out of his house naked and then went to a man's apartment and threatened him with a gun. what about sebastian telfair's hidden gun on the blazer's airplane? Kobe bryant the adulterer? Anthony Mason Sr. raping more than one woman (at different times). He was found by the cops at his hotel room with empty boxes from... KFC of course.

should i go on? ok. isaiah rider and his infinite amount of problems. nick van exel. patrick ewing and his lewd behavior. cliff robinson striking a policewoman in the head. wow, i forgot to mention ron artest. darvin ham beating his wife. juwan howard drunk driving and givng a woman herpes. charles oakley punching out jeff mcinnis. chris porter arrested for cocaine and marijuana possession. rod strickland DUI and unlawful entry. chris webber assault and marijuana possession. do i really need to continue?

let me add:
- Rafer Alston: two battery convictions, including an assault on a former girlfriend when he put his hands around her neck and threw her to the ground.
- Courtney Alexander: assault and battery after hitting, choking and kicking his girlfriend -- and mother of his baby boy -- in the ribs last July. *thank god he didn't take steroids*
