Clemson Tigers
17-0. 3-0 in league play, including an 87-76 win at NC State tonight. Are they for real or are they just paper Tigers (sorry, couldn't resist)? Discuss.

NC State is awful, their first real test comes against Maryland this weekend. Their record is impressive, but they havent played anyone so far. They won their first two conference games by a combined 3 points. Its hard to get a read on a team who really hasnt been tested, win or lose we will know more about them Saturday.

Yes they are. We led them for most of the game that we played, and the officials made a few horrible calls at the end of the game that changed it from a tie to a NCSU lead. By the way, we don't actually play basketball anymore. 03-weeping

They barely beat GT at home and Tech couldn't defend an asthmatic Fat Albert with two sprained ankles driving the lane.

Clemson isn't going to win a national title or anything, and they haven't played the toughest schedule, but 17-0 is 17-0 and they have beaten Old Dominion on the road, Mississippi State, Georgia, Florida State on the road and Georgia Tech. No great teams in there but a lot of solid ones. I think Clemson's a legit top 20 team. Having James Mays back is huge. They're riding something like a 27-game win streak when he plays.

I remember a cincinnati team from a few years ago. 15-0 playing mostly cupcakes but had beat Marquette pretty soundly on the road. Then went on the road to play a very very good louisville team and got blown out. Same will happen to Clemson, they are a paper tiger.

I do think they'll get knocked down a peg in Maryland in their next game.

ding ding ding ding.....we have a winner folks!

BTW, GT is -3.5 against a very average dook team this evening. Dook just has GT's number. I think the Jackets are on a 1-19 run against the evil empire.

Duke's won 10 in a row in Atlanta. That's just mindboggling.

Tech could win tonight, though.

The funny thing is, Paulus is the only really BAD player on that team. Give them even an average point guard and they are pretty good. Really all he has to do is not make mistakes, but that is all he does.

Methinks this is our year. We've had those mofos on the ropes the last three years here and couldn't put them away (very similar to the way we played F$U in football from 98-02). Even last year, our 10-14 team led #1 Duke for 35 minutes until we couldn't throw one in the ocean. I just have a feeling tonight's the night. 05-mafia

Duke is looking awful so far, you guys might pull this one off. If Paulus cant get himself straight at some point this season Duke is in BIG trouble.

JJ Redick never went straight and they seemed to do okay...

Congrats to the Bees! With all those McBurger boys you would think dook would be better than 0-2 in the ACC.
