I thought it sucked.

I should clarify. The football game was cool. I thought the commercial concept was boring.

Miller has never been big on Super Bowl commercials. i read an article a while back about how its just not that important to them to spend all these millions of dollars on a high concept ad. bud, on the other hand, is all about doing that. personally, i think millers marketing has blown bud out of the water for quite some time now. they have consistently been on the cutting edge ("man law", "miller time", "good call" (with the refs), mocking bud being "king of beers" (this isnt a monarchy!), etc etc). bud always seems to be about stale gag jokes. they've been doing the same crap for practically a decade, just variations. the last truly inventive campaigns they had were the bud frogs, and "i love you man, but you're not getting my bud light". other than that? nothing.

I don't know about "inventive" but the "Wazzuupp" commercials were also well received. Especially the next year's preppy spinoff, "How are you doing?"

In the end though, Miller beer sucks.

I could go with that, as long as you dont tell me Bud is the nectar of the gods. in the end, they're both nasty swill. with that being said, id take a miller over bud any day of the week.

I thought most of the commercials were rather pedestrian.
