I guess no lineup yet listed for Austin City Limits, yet.

Ditto for Vegoose.

(I know it's over)

These are the only big ones I know of as of right now. I'd pick Bonnaroo, just for the shear diversity of music, and I like just about every band on the lineup.

Actually, I don't know. The Sasquatch might be my choice. The venue is amazing. Plus Mirah is going to be there. I'd travel a many mile to see her.

I've wanted to go to SXSW forever. Regardless the bands playing.

I'm going to try and hit Pitchfork and Lollapalooza this year too.

01-lauramac2 Not sure how I forgot about those. Damn Chicagoians. I'd like to go to Pitchfork. When is it? July? Hopefully Cincinnati does the Desdemona Festival again. That was pretty freakin' alright.

I was at Lollapalooza last year. They've done an incredible job of reinventing themselves, its very well run. The only beef I have is the bleedover from one stage to the next. If anything, they should slightly trim down the amount of acts they have rather than expanding. Also, for whatever reason the scheduling was really screwy and some big names overlapped who would prob attract the same crowd, while other parts of the day were dead. Also, they need to allow more time to get from one side of the park to the other.

I've always though Coachella would be cool, if nothing else for the weather and scenery. But they usually get the same types of acts that are at Lolla, so its not entirely worth it.

Therefore, gotta go with SXSW. Pretty much the Cannes of music. I think there were over 1400 performers there this year 04-jawdrop

Lollapalooza is August 3 - 5

More artists released:

Quote:New Pornos, Malkmus, De La Soul Added to P4K Fest
Also Battles and the Ponys!

Stakes is high! The Pitchfork Music Festival, taking place July 13-15 at Union Park in Chicago, is pleased to pull back the curtain on several additions to our all-star lineup: indie rock heavy hitters the New Pornographers and Stephen Malkmus, hip-hop legends De La Soul, art-rock supergroup Battles, and hometown heroes and recent Matador signings the Ponys!

All will join the company of previously announced festival performers Cat Power, Clipse, Of Montreal, Iron and Wine, Girl Talk, Jamie Lidell, Grizzly Bear, Professor Murder, Ken Vandermark's Powerhouse Sound, and, of course, Sonic Youth performing their landmark 1988 album Daydream Nation (in collaboration with All Tomorrow's Parties' Don't Look Back).

If that's looking pretty good to you so far, keep in mind, more than 40 artists will perform at this year's Pitchfork fest-- we haven't even announced half of them yet! Plus, there are still two more artists to announce who, like Sonic Youth, will be performing their classic albums as part of Friday's ATP/Don't Look Back festival kickoff.

Here's the lineup as it stands today:

Friday, July 13:

Sonic Youth performs Daydream Nation

Saturday, July 14:

Cat Power
Clipse
Iron and Wine
Girl Talk
Grizzly Bear
Battles
Professor Murder

Sunday, July 15:

New Pornographers
Stephen Malkmus
De La Soul
Of Montreal
Jamie Lidell
The Ponys
Ken Vandermark's Powerhouse Sound

Theres a rumor floating around one of the other artists doing an album in its entirety is Public Enemy- "Takes a Nation...". Again, just a rumor.

Great news on the pitchfork lineup. It's really turning into a nice fest.

Speaking of festivals with regard to the original question, does Jazz Fest in New Orleans belong on this list?

RE: Which festival would you rather attend?
Of the ones you listed with lineups, I'd pick Bonnaroo. Odds are, after seeing ALL lineups, I'd pick Austin City Limits. Just my style, I guess.

Sasquatch would be my last pick, just because Sarah Silverman is the host. She's quite possibly the most foul person I've ever heard.

Yeah, I really don't understand why these festivals need to include comedy. What, trying to draw a bigger crowd? Think people might need a break from music? 03-lmfao Well then those people don't belong there anyway!! Two new festivals to add.

Monolith, now with Brian Jonestown Massacre!!
