Did you see the Duke-ECU game?
Those were Conf-USA refs, and duke got screwed by them. The game could have easily been 30-10 Duke.
The fact is all refs have predisposed biases towards the conferences they represent. You can't change that.

ECU averages less than the 5 penalties for 40 yards they had against Duke, which had 8 for 78 yards, not much difference. Obviously the 4 ECU turnovers to none for Duke was the difference, Dewan ran an interception for a touchdown and another turnover deep in ECU territory led to a FG, the other 2 turnovers may have led to Duke scores or missed ECU scores too. Duke had just 3 penalties for 15 yards and Louisville had 12 for 115 yards in Durham, who called that game? Duke had 7 for 50 yards against FSU, and 6 for 45 yards against Northwestern while NU had 16 for 146 yards. ACC refs are always biased, not just against other conferences but also against teams like FSU or UMD when they play coach K or UNC or other NC teams they like such as in the ACC tourney, announcers talk about ACC refs way too much and it makes the league look bad.
