RE: Middle Tennessee @ Memphis
Well, there are differences. You guys replaced an entire coaching staff. We aren't doing anything close to that scale. That leads me to believe you have major problems, not just injury issues. This game may be the "pillow fight of the week" after watching you guys play Old Miss and us play FAU. I expected us to drop off without our 5th year senior at QB, but our O Line is terrible and our receivers aren't stepping up. I don't know that this will be a good year for us. At least we'll know in a few weeks who has the better team, but 2-10 is a hell of a long way to come back from. Theories are great things in college football. After the Appy State vs Michigan debacle, I'm not so certain about anything in this game anymore.

hell, we've done it before...

1982: 1-10
1983: 6-4

if we don't break 6 wins this season, something ain't right.

Go Tigers!!!

Didn't you guys replace your entire coaching staff and then go on to your first bowl game?

We also went from 3-9 to 9-4 and a bowl win.

Well, we weren't coming back from 2-10. but you have a good point. Does it really matter at this point? Both of our teams suck this year (most likely). Even if we win, I doubt we go bowling. We'll be lucky to go above .500.

good "almost" win for MTSU...but it's still a loss, and you have to travel to LSU next game...looks like an 0-3 start.

THEN, you still have to play Virginia before you play us...

MTSU should be 2-4 coming into their game against us.

Go Tigers!!!

After watching Wyoming tear into Virginia, I'm not so certain we won't win that one. We have them at home after playing WKU and FIU at home. If we can beat both of them and get some momentum going, we have a shot at Virginia. I watched the replay of the Ole Miss game. You guys are better than I thought. You lost, but you looked like you had some players and you kept it close. I want to see how you guys do against ASU before I decide on the outcome of our game.

Sadly, you don't even have to go above .500 to get in one of the 5,000 bowl games.

Well, MTSU found a offense last night against Louisville. If they can find a defense....

Well, our starting QB is out with a back injury (Thanks LSU), our kicker quit and the new guy can't kick, oh and we still haven't regained any of the 11 starters we lost in the Spring. I'm not certain, but I think we are worse than you guys. I didn't thnk it was possible, but I'm having my doubts. Here's to two crappy teams meeting in a few weeks.

I tried to tell you guys that you are too far gone to win this game, but no one wanted to listen. Oh, well. Maybe Drew will make his way over to the MT board and have a nice helping of crow. Just be glad we have about 12 starters out for the season.

03-shhhh You guys are on our schedule as a "buy" game. 03-shhhh

The game is part of a overall philosophy that deliberately is weakening our schedule to increase our wins, and thereby hopefully generate more fan support.

Buy what? A loss?

Middle wasn't the favorite...I was wrong...but should have been.

....only reason the tigers lost was that they were up half then night at Memphis Madness at the FedEx Forum. A football is the wrong shape to have any importance in memphis.

Lightening Strikes and BlueRaderFan 111, I don't know where a MTSU board is that has a lot of activity, so I'll just congratulate you guys here and assume you can do so for me where the fans gather. Congrats on the win. When the chips were down in the second half you guys came through and we didn't. Not much else I can say. Congrats.

OldTiger,

Thanks. See you guys next year (?). If you want to see a busy MT board, try Rivals.com or Scout.com. Good game.
