Common and Q-tip forming a group?
Apparently, q-tip is appealing to their label heads to allow them to make a record. If it happens, the group will be called "the standard" and most of the production will be done by Q, with a couple joints done by Kanye.
Personally, this is pretty exciting. These two are great, and could be a 2007 blackstar.

That certainly would be interesting. Though I think Q-Tip would mesh better with Kanye. But personally, I'd rather like to see Q-Tip, Phife Dawg and Ali do another album. Now Common and Talib? Would be great. How's that Pharoah album? And since you brought up Black Star, what's Mos up to these days? I think he's fantastic. Oh, and do you dig on some Saul Williams? This album kicks ass
Sorry, haven't talked hip hop in a few years.

mos came out with an album last year. i didn't really give it a chance, though i heard it wasn't bad. He did some singing on a new kanye song too, but that's about it.
the pharoahe album's pretty good. it's not great, but definitely good.
never heard of saul williams, i'll check out his myspace.

I totally agree that ATCQ needs to get back together and do a commercially successful CD. Rap needs some new flavor now.
And I still stand behind my comment that Kanye West SUCKS
As for Common and Q Tip.... the abstact poet + Common Sense? hmmmm and they would probabbly do a lot of jazz heavy beats...hmmmm

I have always been intigued about those cds. I remeber when Guru started it. I have never heard one though... I think he did a few videos fo the firs Jazzmataz... if he did then that is all I have heard.
Honestly though...forget Common...I just want a ATCQ reunion! Hip Hop needds ATCQ to come back...too bad the market place for the style of hip hop they were just isn't there anymore

That sounds like a damn fine formula. All they need now is Cody Chestnutt singing on a few tracks. He's friggin awesome.
