What Should The Polls Look Like This Week?
The media seem to have already decided that Missouri will be #1 for some reason. I do not see how the Tigers are any better than West Virginia. Big 12 bias rears its head once again. Nothing against Missouri. They are a good team. But the Mountaineers are the innovators. The Tigers are the imitators. If both squads end up in the BCS Title Game look for the originals to come out on top. With all that in mind, please post how you would rank this week's Top 25, before the you know what hits the fan later this afternoon.
01) West Virginia (10-1)
02) Missouri (11-1)
03) Ohio State (11-1)
04) Kansas (11-1)
05) Hawaii (11-0)
06) Georgia (10-2)
07) Oklahoma (10-2)
08) Boston College (10-2)
09) Virginia Tech (10-2)
10) USC (9-2)
11) Arizona State (9-2)
12) LSU (10-2)
13) Brigham Young (9-2)
14) Boise State (10-2)
15) Florida (9-3)
16) Tennessee (9-3)
17) Clemson (9-3)
18) Illinois (9-3)
19) Wisconsin (9-3)
20) Cincinnati (9-3)
21) South Florida (9-3)
22) Oregon (8-3)
23) Texas (9-3)
24) Virginia (9-3)
25) Connecticut (9-3)
If it seems like I ranked teams based on record, I did, generally. Winning games and not losing games have to count for something. Others can disagree and their own polls can reflect their preferences. I ranked squads down to those with three losses except Air Force, Central Florida, Tulsa, and Troy. A couple of them could enter the Top 25 next week if Tennessee and Oregon lose as expected. I see no need to rank four-loss teams like Auburn and Texas Tech, as the pollsters did last week, based upon their names.

You can forget about UConn being ranked after the shellacking they took in Morgantown. Anytime you get stomped like that it gets noticed.
