RE: liquor cabinet
i personally like single malt scotch. brands like cragganmore and glenfiddich are excellent when you're talking about a combination of taste and affordability. I hear lagavulin is good too, though i've never tried it.

BTW: Here are a couple pics showing what my basement bar looked like when I lived in Kentucky...main reason I needed a well stocked bar was to put up with my ex-wife 04-cheers

RE: liquor cabinet
+1 on Bushmills, good man.

If you're looking for a single malt, how about Isle of Jura. I don't care for scotch myself, but my wife likes Isle.

I'd probably also go for the cheap Captain as well for just mixers. But I don't drink the stuff, so I could be wrong.

RE: liquor cabinet
Get some angostura bitters. Goes a long way for mixing a mojito in the summer, a rusty nail, or a sazerac for a nice nightcap.

RE: liquor cabinet
Alright. Females are present. They love white wine. Buy some Pinot Grigio or some Riesling. Or you could make some mimosa's. Three parts champagne and a quarter orange juice. Also white russians are delishious and my favorite mixed drink. Just a lot of vodka, a lot of milk and a splash of Kahula. And if you have beer bring some wheat beers, and I know you love Blue Moon. So have plenty of oranges available. Gin and Tonic's are also a treat. But if we're also talking about catering to the dudes, ahh, liquor and me don't do well, that's why I like these "girly" drinks. I'm a beer dude. I can't stomach a glass of wiskey. No flavor, just a burning senastion in my mouth and down the gullet. Now a good beer, that's something to savor.
