i don't even count guys like starr and unitas in these comparisons. It's not fair to compare across different eras. It's like comparing santana to koufax.

Even if you compare Starr's numbers to Unitas or Sonny Jurgensen they are pretty bad.

The column wasn't about who was the best of all time, just pointing out that Favre has been overrated, especially over the last 10 years. The greatest quaterback of all time probably shouldn't have a 10 year stretch with a losing playoff record and more picks than TDs in that time (during the playoffs).

And for the record, one of the related articles in the box puts him at #8 all time. The football outsiders column actually puts him in the top two.
