RE: In honor of our dook buds
for a down year-Duke was not bad.

#2 in the ACC
28-6
#2 seed in the NCAA Tournament
with wins over #11 Marquette, #20 Wisconsin, #24 Clemson, #3 UNC on the road

they did that without a inside player.

how many teams would consider that a successful season? its a "down year" only by comparision of previous Duke seasons.

No number 2 seed should consider losing in the second round a successful season.

i hear that. I don't see how a great record in the regular season and an early exit in the postseason can be considered successful.

Duke is just as tall as UNC. They also have Zoubeck.

How awesome would it have been if Belmont had beat Duke? They were so close! When was the last time a 15 seed beat a 2 seed? Anyone know? I seriously am in LOVE with upsets. It's getting to be a pretty serious relationship now...

03-melodramatic I knew you were going to make this post.

Its all about expectations, as a two seed you are expected to reach the elite 8. Maryland, a NIT team, is not expected to win any NCAA tournament games, especially when you consider its not possible.

RE: In honor of our dook buds
Jamal Tinsley blew the layup that would have put Iowa State on top as time expired, he may have been a lottery pick before that game but he dropped to the bottom of the 1st round instead.
