Holy Jeebus! The Joker lived up to the hype and made the rest of movie look silly. Not really, but good *** **** I was soo frightened by him. Heath (whom I only assume played they Joker, I honestly couldn't tell), made the Joker so convincing and real. That's what this movie is about. You almost want him to succeed cause he's so awesome, well I secretly wanted him to.
So since this movie is so well regarded, here's my complaints (oh and I loved it):
The cons:
- Christian Bale was still convincing as Batman/Bruce Wayne, but that Batman voice is very over the top. He didn't sound like that in Begins, did he?
- I love her to death and high high hopes for Maggie Gyllenhaal's verision of Rachal Dawes, but she came off as a whiny tramp. I can't believe I'm saying that I liked Katie Holmes more.
I'm sure upon seeing the film again I'll change my mind.
- Dude, Scarecrow? WTF? What happened to him?
- a bit too long, even though I don't mind three hour movies.
- wanted more Cillian Murphy.
- another film? I hope two face is still alive and the Joker kills himself in prison (nobody is gonna be able to be the Joker again). And I hope the Scarecrow comes back. Didn't leave much open for another.
