RE: OT: Best Comment by a Delegate to Either Convention
The best comment I heard so far is from Rudy: "Change is not a destination and hope is not a strategy."

You know the old saying, they judge you by the company you keep. I'm not too hyped about the company Obama has kept in his formative years, it says a lot about his thinking.
What do you consider cozy-coo? They sat on a board together, and Ayers donated a couple hundred bucks to his campaign back in 2001. Do you have anything more than that?

If you think that Ayers is a non-event then you must be really upset with the Democrats politicizing Palin's husbands 20 year old DUI.

OK ....This broad does not believe in evolution. Somehow I doubt that view is going to carry her very far. Is she that stupid? or is she just pandering to the kook right of the GOP?...or is SHE the kook right of the GOP?

Obama launched his political career with a fund raiser at the home of Bill Ayers. That's the part of this that gets no attention, and I don't know why. That strongly suggests more than the very limited relationship that the Obama campaign wants us to believe.
To me, that's more telling than serving on the board together (unless there's more there than simply serving on a board, and I've heard that there is but cannot confirm), or the odd political contribution.

I do think its low that anyone would trot out a 20 year old DUI of a spouse as a relevant issue.
And like I said, if theres anything more substantial to Obamas relationship with Ayers, other than the fact that they rubbed elbows in professional life and overlapped political circles (both live in the same neighborhood, both professors at U of C, sat on community boards, etc), I'd be interested to hear it. I dont necessarily like the association as it exists either. But that dosent mean he shares his views or talks to the guy on any regular basis.

It looks like they are going to keep her from doing interviews. I've heard so many times that "this is the new Reagan", and "he/she is the real deal". I heard it with Bush Jr, Fred Thompson, Bobby Jindal, and now her. I'm not falling for this again.
