Senate Bill 2433: Global Poverty Act of 2007
This Bill is estimated conservatively to cost Taxpayers about $400 billion each year for 12 years. Or $4.8 Trillion $4,800,000,000. Some won't even estimate about it's cost.

ANOTHER ESTIMATE:

The noble sounding name of this bill, 'The Global Poverty Act' is actually a Global Tax, payable to the United Nations, that will be required of all American taxpayers. If passed in the Senate, the House has already passed it, this bill would require the U.S. to increase our foreign aid by $65 BILLION per year, or $845 BILLION over the next 13 years! That's on top of the billions of dollars in foreign aid we already pay out!

Who's Obama working for again? remind me.

.

You know people get angry at the U.S. for all the Foreign Aid We "Could Do and Don't", rather than see that most of our money ends up feeding the illegal Militia's and Despots that come in and Steal the Food and Medicines we send to Poverty stricken countries and regions.

Any one from Pilots that fly the stuff in too unarmed Missionary's on the ground have had to just stand back with AK47's in their faces and watch these Marauding Bands of Guerilla Fighters take every ounce of Goods off every plane or truck before one bit of it can be given to a Starving Child.

How do we deal with that part of it - - if you send aid and it only fattens the Problem and helps not one in Real Need, when do you say Enough is Enough and Feed Your Own Starving People.

I am conflicted by this dilemma .... I have seen starving Children and it is an ugly ugly sight to behold, but the Problem is the Despots, and as long as they Survive on our Free Food and Medicines, we are simply compounding that problem.

AHHHHHHHH - - I guess if just '1' Truck load a month gets thru to Starving Children, then it is worth it. I would rather know that a little baby died with a Full Stomach than the painful empty one he has lived with all his little life.

Pitiful man ... just pitiful ...

It's getting scary Tripster, we're agreeing again. Though there are obviously situations where aid is warranted (particularly after natural disasters), too often it winds up in the wrong hands. Of course, with the level of corruption even in some of the legitimate governments, some times the "right" hands are really the wrong ones too.
