It sounds like our Jesse Jackson Jr. has been working with the Feds for a while. ABC 7 reported last night that Blago tried to get campaign donations in 2003 in return for appointing Sandi Jackson (Jesse Jr.'s wife) a lottery commissioner, and the Jacksons turned him in. Jesse Jackson Jr. may not only be innocent in this whole thing, but he may actually have played a large part in busting Blago.

It's tough to stand near a fire and not walk away smelling like smoke. If JJJ is innocent and helped bust Blago then more power to him. I might not agree with his politics but I can respect him for doing the right thing. When all is said and done I wonder how many people will being going down...

Sum, the article said his supporters were the ones trying to raise the money and the reporter said JJJ might not have known about it. If JJJ did the right thing I'll give him his due. If he's part of it then he can rot in jail. His old man is scheming extortionist and being a piece of sh*t may be genetic. Time will tell.

Also, he has had a number of public disagreements with his father. A big one was when Sr. made the "off camera" remark that he was going to cut Obamas nut off. Jr. got on TV right after that and condemned his father's comments.

An article in my local paper (written by AP) said that getting blago convicted on anything might be tough because all he did was talk about how valuable the senate seat was and what he might get for it. It went on to say that no where did he actually say the only way someone would ever get that seat was if he got something in return. At best they have him on conspiracy since he never actually commited a crime and the Feds need to look under more rocks if they really want to hammer him. Maybe when the prosecutors sit people in front of a grand jury the case might expose more wrong doing.

The guy's corrupt but did the feds act too soon?

They need to move for a change of vernue on Blago because Juries in the Northern District of Illinois are on the take more than the politicians.

I had heard that he has worked with the Feds on Blago ever since his wife was solicited for public office some 5 years ago.
