Wow....wasn't GTS going to this game? If so, look for a guy leaping from the upper deck.

Dern!

RE: Chick-Fil-A bowl
Hard to beat anybody when you spot them 21 pts and 2 turnovers in the first half.

The performance is on par with that of the Virginia game at home. All they had to do was beat a crappy Virginia team to be way atop their division in the ACC. They layed a giant goose egg, and for the most part didn't bother to show up. Similar story here. Win and you have a 10 win season and finish in the Top 10. Just cannot *stand* the thought of being a premiere program.

LSU's lines are also showing just how little GT has depth on their probation-caused 65 man roster. The OL for GT who got sent back literally 8 yards to blow a 3rd and 1 toss sweep? He's a former TE, weighing in at 265 ibs. Just a wee bit less than the 320+ ib guy he was blocking being a slight pest to.

Also, PJ's first awful call as a head coach, faking a punt on 4th and 8 inside his own 20 .... and snapping to a ******* defensive end? What, was everybody who could actually run fast watching the Playboy channel? That was 7 of those 21 freebie points for LSU.

Why is GT on probation? Somehow I missed that.

It ends this year. The former compliance director wasn't being trained and updated as the NCAA passed new rules. During the O'Leary era, several football players loaded up on electives some years. Previously, that was fine and dandy. All of the players in question were in good academic standing. However the NCAA passed a rule stating that x number of hours (12?) per year must count directly toward their major core curriculum. It seems likely that Joe Hamilton was one of the players effected by this rule change.

Wasn't a case of cheating, was a case of an inept compliance director who wasn't keeping up with the ever-increasing number of NCAA rules.

Ahh... makes a little more sense. GT doesn't seem like the kind of school that would be cheating to win.

RE: Chick-Fil-A bowl
The first half was painful.

The third quarter was enjoyable, as we (and by we I mean all Tech fans) began to throw paper airplanes and cheer them on. As sad as it seems, it was entertaining. We cheered for those planes as they would make it close to the field or onto the field.

Then they told everyone to stop...so I left.

I saw one of those paper airplanes going behind the goalposts as LSU kicked the FG to get 38... If y'all had timed it better, it could've hit the football coming through! 03-rotfl

It made it into one of the plays..no joke..it caused an LSU player to drop a pass.

And one was headed straight for Les Miles...until an LSU player saw it and jumped up and grabbed it.

About the paper airplanes? It's not like you can aim the thing straight for someone 50-100 yards away.

Give me a break. It was something funny to a not-so-great night.
