Anyone with a connection to Mississippi (or not) is welcome to attend this event. Should be a fun time for all.

The first annual Mississippi Day in the Park in Atlanta will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at the Chastain Park Four Grill Pavillion. The address for those using GPS for directions is 155 W. Wieuca Rd, NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30342.

This event is organized by the Mississippi in the Park Committee of Atlanta. Blues bands will be performing throughout the afternoon. Representatives from all of the Mississippi schools will be present with updated University promotional material, football schedule posters, and stickers for all alumni and fans to enjoy. Admission is $5 and enters you into raffles to be held during the event, and Mississippi catfish dinner plates are available for purchase for an additional $15.
