Of course that raises other issues.

In the 1950s the US discussed using H-bombs to influence the course of hurricanes, and keeping them from US coasts. Caribbean nations were none too happy.

I imagine Iceland or Newfoundland wouldn't be either, if we guided them in that direction. Not to mention if they took a "wrong turn".

Trying to control the weather is impossible at this time, be it hurricanes or global warming.

I think you're right, that was associated w/ the program I mentioned. They were looking at every technology.

But wouldn't Gates need another company, (Apple maybe?) to create the technology first? Then he could swoop in, mark it up 1,000% and riddle with patented Windows bugs.

Why isn't Gates working on Greenhouse Gas scrubbers. After all that Global Warming Devil is still out there. That is supposed to destroy more of the coasts than any hurricane. I mean if your going to tackle mother nature you better go big or stay home, I always say.
