I'm not sure if it is just because of the position he plays, but he's the second leading tackler on this team. That's after only getting two tackles in the Rutgers game and not playing against SEMO. You have to like that kind of speed.

He is going to be a great player for us for a long time (3 more years!). He is fast and physical. Reminds me a bit of Haruki Nakamura without the hockey style open ice (field) checks and the WWF Smackdown throws.

RE: Drew Frey
A thread titled "Drew Frey", with his history of injuries, and the team's recent history with them, made me a little nervous.

RE: Drew Frey
Strong Safety's should rack up the tackles in this defense, or any defense for that matter. You also have to keep in mind the volume of people Diaco plays in the front 7. Marcus Waugh, Craig Carey, John Hughes, Brandon Mills and Dan Giordano are backups and all get at least 20 snaps a game, Mills, Carey and Hughes typically get closer to 30. When you play that many people none of them are going to put up big numbers because the opportunities to make tackles are less. In the back end of the defense, particularly at safety there isn't a rotation, Webster and Carey don't come out often if at all so they will have more tackles. Frey has been a great player this year
