If GT takes a win and gift wraps it to the Hokies two consecutive years on fumbled pitches I will destroy stuff.

Great. Assuming GT-Miami-VT all win out, the tiebreaker is BCS ranking. Need people to get the hell outta GT's way.

Got a feeling that VT will still be ahead GT in the rankings. I'll be surprised if #19/20 jumps above #4. Even after beating them head-to-head. And they'll have to pass Miami, currently at #9/11. And if they all win-out, I don't see GT having a better ranking at the end.

GT needs Miami to lose another one (Clemson or USF seem to be the last possibilities). Then GT'll have the tiebreaker with VT (right?). They're at the bottom of the 3 right now. All because of the crappy game down on the baseball field in Miami.

Yeah! Make room for us! 02-13-banana

Disclaimer: I'm a little giddy tonight after CMU whomped on arch-rival WMU for the 4th straight year, and I don't really expect us to be in the Top 25 this week...but we're getting close! 04-rock

Oh yeah...and congrats, GTS! Knocking off the Hokies is no easy feat. 04-cheers

Poetic justice is great. The ACC raided the BEast to try to compete with the SEC, which was a dismal failure due to ineptitude on the field. Most of their best teams are now former BEast members. The ACC had to have Miami, and now members are complaining about Miami's bush league facilities, which is a long established fact. If it weren't for the pro teams in Miami, the Hurricanes would have no facilities to speak of...

The ACC has no interest in being "another SEC". They want to be the Pac-10 of the east coast. Serious athletics across all the sports, and very serious academics. The student athlete still means something in the ACC, unlike the SEC.
