I am not sure Shaq and LeBron ever really got along. By the way does anybody else think LeBron just became the next Scotty Pippin and not the next Micheal Jordon. I can't see Miami being anything but Dwayne Wades team.

Yeah, I will pull for a Lakers sweep of the Heat in the finals.

Tell me how Miami is getting to the finals with two superstars who have to have the ball in their hands and an undersized big man who is no more than a decent rebounder and otherwise below average defender (and NOTHING else). Celtics just added Jermaine O'Neal and now have a TON of size up front. I'm not saying they're going to suck, but I'm not sure they should be favored in the East.

Miami is tied with Boston for the Eastern conference lead.

LeBron:
25.4 ppg on 48% shooting
7 RPG
7 APG

Wade
25.1 ppg on 49.5% shooting
6.6 RPG
4.3 APG

Bosh
18.6 PPG
8.4 RPG

I have no idea if Bosh's defense has improved, but the Heat are allowing the 3rd fewest PPG in the NBA, which says something about their team defense

I'd say they have as good a shot as any elite teams in the East

it's not spin. The Heat had won like 18 of 19 games or something absurd like that. They went up against energetic team and they dogged it. It doesn't say anything about them

well that might be true. Although the Celtic are worrying about coming up short against the Bulls and Magic. Rondo's playing with 3 injuries, jermaine o'neal might elect to have surgery, who knows when perkins will be back and how healthy he'll be and when will KG be back and how effective will he be? They have plenty of question marks.

The Celtics are getting a little long in the tooth, I'll grant you that. But if they can come into the playoffs healthy, nobody will want to play them...

i completely agree with that. The only problem is that Celtics fans have been saying that the last 2 years. Last season it nearly worked out, until Perkins went down. This year it's Rondo who's dealing with plantar fascitis, a bum hamstring and another injury that i can't remember. It'll take a small miracle for them to be 100% healthy, but if they are, you're 100% right

I've been expecting someone to revive this thread since the Heat went on their run (actually, I was expecting something after they started so poorly). I don't think it's surprising to anyone that the Heat are an elite team in the East. The problem they will still face is that they don't have an elite inside game which, in recent memory, has been a requirement to reach and win the championship. The only exception I can think of is the 03-04 Pistons but they had such a good defense that they made it work (which is why the Heat could still do it but, I think, only if the Celtics' health issues don't go away).

i completely agree. But, other than their defense, they're also unique in the fact that they have 2 of the top 3 scorers in the world. They really need Mike Miller to hurry up and fit in. The sharp shooter is an integral part of any drive and dish offense

Boston is a better team overall.. Lebron is just someone who is always wanting to get his ego higher then his game.
I want the Celtics to crush miami in the Easter Conf. finals.
