UofL v sUK game sold out, UofL v EKU nearly sold out
The University of Louisville's football opener against Kentucky on Sept. 4 is sold out.

It will be the first football game in the newly expanded Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, which seats 55,000.

According to U of L, the sellout includes a group of tickets returned from the Wildcats' visiting team allotment.

About 1,200 tickets to the Cardinals' Sept. 11 home game against Eastern Kentucky remain. They are $47 for reserved bowl seating and $10 for the UPS Flight Deck upper seating.

Tickets may be purchased at the U of L ticket office, located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium or via ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com online or by calling (502) 361-3100.

Wow, I find it hard to believe Kensucky returned any tickets. It'd be nice if we are competitive, win a few games, and sell the stadium out for the season. Couple years of that and before you know it, we'll be expanding again.
