We are winning 17-3 at halftime and the SU defense is playing tough again Akron has like 2 3rd conversions. Syracuse WRs an unknown going into the game look really good Alec Lemon and Van Chew made some great catches.

Doug Marrone's offense is good. I think Syracuse is going to win some games this year.

"Pretty good" might be overstating it a little. Akron is horrible. SU only averaged 4.5 ypc rushing and Nassib missed on a lot of his deep passes. They're going to have to play a lot better to be Washington.

Was there in person. Offense needs more work, but they may have played this one close to the vest. Nassib's INT was completely telegraphed. Defense played well, but like Zibby said, from Akron to Washington is a completely different talent level.

They need a new punt returner. Holmes looked so shaky.

In comparison to what we have become we looked rather decent but still have a long way to go to get back to what Syracuse fans know our program can be.

Special Teams remain an area of concern and I was not too impressed with the Offensive Line. Nassib needs to calm down and run the offense, too many errant throws that cannot happen against quality teams. No real complaints with the defense, they did a good job.

At the end of the day we, quite sadly, have the best win out of all the members of our conference with only Cincy left to play so I will take it. Even the most optomistic of Orange fans know our bowl hopes are on the line next weekend against Washington in what could be a program changing game.
