Yeah! But we never would have won it without the refs help.

02-13-banana 26-0 (should have been much worse) 02-13-banana

Did I not say that the refs gave UConn two make-up calls? And yes, the final score should have been much worse.

UConn has four good players (Moore, Wilson, Todman, and Hurd) that are playing. We are talent deprived thanks to Edsall's awful recruiting. We are dead.

Congrats Louisville. Edsall looked pretty ticked at the end of the game. looked like he didnt even want to shake Strongs hand. Also, one can tell the respect that the Louisville players have for Strong. They were all over the guy all the way to the locker room. He's turning things around quickly. Congrats again.

RE: UofL vs. UConn
I would say that Edsall is a liability for UCONN. This guy will NEVER get UCONN to the BE championship. He's fools gold, and he will start to take UCONN back down. Much like the spaz at USF, Edsall got the ball rolling but cannot take the next step. I know that Wanny is not the answer at Pitt either, but hopefully you guys realize now that Edsall is a younger clone of Wanny. Sorry.

The big difference is that Wanny can recruit.

That's right. I'll concede that point. Wanny is a better recruiter than Edsall. Otherwise, they're both the same coach.

Congrats UL. UCONN sucked royally. The season is almost over for us. Yes both RU and UCONN got younger version of Wanny as coaches. We both need to make a change.

Well, Edsall DID win a BE championship already - althought it was shared it with WVu 03-wink

RE: UofL vs. UConn
UConn had the same record as WVU, Hoquista. But the Huskies DID NOT win The BEast, as football co-champion, or any other kind of way. UConn lost to WVU 66-21 that year. When you allow the team you are supposedly equal to score 66 points on you, you aren't worthy to be called a champion...

While I don't disagree with you bit concerning whether they were worthy but the fact remains that they were co-champions.

You can take it up with Tranghese..... he's normally in the buffet line or a donut shop at a Providence food establishment. 03-wink

You can argue technicalities all you want. The fact remains that when the 2 schools played each other UConn got stomped. The loser of a head to head matchup cannot tie the winner. No way. No how. Any result that says otherwise is pure unadulterated bullsh!t...

Whether you or I or anyone else disagrees with the decision, you'll have to take it up with the Big East office and other conferences as well. For example, officially, according to the Big 10, Penn State didn't win their conference in 2005 - they tied Ohio State because they had the same conference records EVEN THOUGH PSU beat OSU head to head. Heck, IIRC, some OSU players even wore championship hats and t-shirts at the press conference after their win against Michigan!

Bottom line is this, a Edsell coached UConn team has finished HIGHER in the BE than a Wanny coached Pitt team ever has. I hope this is the year Wanny breaks through.
