I think the link will work. If not, go to redstate.com and scroll to the UCF article.

If I'm not mistaken, the 911 Pilots did their flight schools in Daytona. Could we consider Florida a safetynet for terrorists and deploy the armed foreced lol.

In all seriousness, that's some crazy sh1t.

I'm pretty sure one or two of the guys did some flight training in Rocky Mount, NC too.

If I were a university I'd be trying to distance myself from this stuff. They seem to be going in the opposite direction.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if they are getting some absurd federal funding for it.

If so, guess they feel the negative press is worth the funding. The author of the article seems to feel there wasn't enough press over this. Personally, I'm a reputation guy over $$$.

So am I. Its just a crazy situation. I don't even know the best way to attack it lol. In a rough economy for education, esp 2011/12 school year and beyond, we just might hear more stories like this. Unfortunately.

Guess that is a choice many universities will have to make. I'm just glad that my alma mater has not gone that route and hopefully they never will. The tough times will come to an end but you carry your reputation no matter what. Some foresight is necessary IMO.

Even if you justify the panels as education, the fact that they will not accept questions from an opposing viewpoint is telling enough to show they are not truly interested in education but rather propogation.

Perhaps this may be a reason that UCF does not garner the necessary votes to become a Big East school. Our schools have some dignity and it appears as though UCF may be openly antagonistic against the U.S.
