Nick Lachey writes fight song

Alternate Title: Nick Lachey tries to ruin Big East Tournament.

The start of the song sounds like a ripoff of Linkin Park's "What I've Done".

Not terrible, even if it's not the style I normally listen to. I can't bring myself to dislike him for the simple reason that we need all the fans we can get, plus he seems like an ok guy.

I don't want Nick Lachey anywhere near the Big East, UC, or Cincinnati in general. I don't care if he's from around here.

Right on. He seems like a good dude and, while I never really listened to his music, it's pretty clear he loves UC. That's good enough for me.

isn't nicks brother an assistant coach on the UC staff?

One of my very good friends is very close to Nick, and I've met him a couple of times. From my limited exposure, he is a pretty cool guy, and not full of himself as you might expect. Why would anyone say they "don't want him anywhere near the program"? He brings good exposure from what I can see.

And btw- I kind of dig the song too.

It's not a bad song at all, definitely not as bad as many Chamionship Week songs in the past. Some (good thing it's a minority in this thread) of you are WAY overreacting.

Song sounds on target. Glad to have Nick as a fellow UC fan!

Sheesh, what did Mr. Lachey ever do to you, cinbin? It's a decent song written and performed by someone with a multiple platinum recording achievement, nothing to take lightly.

Sounds like the BE commishs liked and appreciated its appropriateness.

I don't mind Mr Lachey. He's not a huge superstar, but he's represented himself and his city well. It's not like you see him getting arrested for doing stupid things like other celebrities.
