RE: Mbodje vs Gift
I think GG's lower ranking is partially due to playing JUCO D2 rather than D1.

Sounds good but seeing Jurick ranked as high as he is makes me very skeptical about this list. Whoever put this together probably has never seen any of these guys play. Honestly guys, Jurick is terrible and unbelievably lazy.

FWIW, these were the JUCO Junction rankings for Chiekh and Gift before they visited UC. Not sure about the rest of the list, but those two didn't change from a month ago.

Marcus,

I put the list together. I've seen them play. It would be kind of difficult to put a list together without seeing anyone play. Jurick has had games where he seemed to take the night off (I'll give you that), he's also had games where he looked like the best post guy in the country. To call a kid who averaged nearly a triple double (including blocks per game) at the NJCAA D1 terrible is bit of a stretch. I highly doubt a Big 12 school would take a kid who is terrible. We are all entitled to our opinions though. Thanks for your input.

Brad, appreciate you taking time to come post here. If you check back, I'm sure we would love to hear any more insight you can provide on Mbodj.

Thanks!

Maryland Recruiting 6-9 JuCo Robert Goff?

Marylandflag_tiny by Ben Broman on Apr 28, 2011 7:57 PM EDT in Basketball Recruiting

With Jordan Williams on the verge of going pro, Maryland could really use some post help. One guy that might be able to provide it: Robert Goff, a 6-9, 240-pound JuCo center from Hutchinson C.C. Goff was committed to Oklahoma earlier, but Jeff Goodman reported that he's been released from his LOI. IMS followed that up hours later by reporting that Maryland was "moving in on" Goff.

**note** Coach Williams just just retired from Maryland
