Tom Lemming's Football Top 100 as of 5/27/11
It's a long article so here's a few highlights for UC fans:

Quote:38. •••• ATH Brian Kimbrow 5-9, 165, 4.35 Memphis-East, TN

This past January Brian came up to me as proud as can be after running a 4.3 40 at the U.S. Army combine. Small but explosive, he shows the vision, balance, and cutting ability to make an instant impression as a freshman.

72. •••• QB Bennie Coney 6-3, 210, 4.7 Plant City, FL

On pure talent he should rank as the #1 QB prospect in the state of Florida. He’s a thick-bodied, strong armed, and very confident signal caller from the Tampa area. If he sets his mind to it, there should be no stopping Mr. Coney at the next level. With consistency should earn All-American honors.

Other Notables:
2. ••••• QB Gunner Kiel 6-4, 216, 4.7 Columbus East, IN
10. ••••• RB Barry Sanders 5-9, 185, 4.3 Oklahoma City-Heritage Hall, OK
30. ••••• QB Zeke Pike 6-6, 230, 4.7 Edgewood Dixie Heights, KY
57. •••• DL Adolphus Washington 6-5, 250, 4.7 Cincinnati Taft, OH
96. •••• WR Dwayne Stanford 6-4, 195, 4.5 Cincinnati Taft, OH
- Maty Mauk not listed

Did I miss anybody?

Interesting to see Kimbrow that high. He's an exciting player based on the highlights I've seen. I know he likes us but he has a lot of great offers and I believe is favoring Vandy right now.

I think Pike is way too high at 30. Big kid and good athlete but has a long way to go toward being a complete QB. Needs to work on mechanics.

As usual, Stanford and Washington ranked higher than I believe they should be.

Pike is ranked way too high. It sounds like he really struggled at some of the recent combines he's been at too. I honestly would not have him in the Top 100. He is just way too raw as a passer.

Washington's size is way off-base by Lemming. He's in the 6'2 / 6'3 range and does not have the length you typically look for in an elite defensive end. Plus he ran a 5.06 at the Nike Combine a few weeks ago. Certainly nowhere near a 4.7

Is Coney really 6'3"? It would be great if he was (always love a QB to be taller), but Rivals lists him as 6'1".
