Darnell Wilks to the Globetrotters

That is awesome. Has a Bearcat ever been drafted by the Globetrotters?

is it me or is the Harlem Globetrotter draft a bit unconventional? Jordan McCabe (Beaver Lake Middle School), Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona)

How does someone get "drafted" by the Trotters? Who else was drafting? Were the Washington Generals in the draft? C'mon Man.......

Wasn't Cheryl Cook in the mix when the Globetrotters wanted to put a female player on the team? I know she didn't make it but she was in the mix I think.

The Generals ought to fire their coach. They keep losing to the trotters, and you would figure, getting the top pick every year, they'd get over the hump sooner or later

I remember Levett being on the Trotters, I didn't know Tate was on there as well!

Curtis Bostic got an offer but decided against it after working out.

And Levitt was only with the Trotters for a short period of time because he didn't like the constant travel. I remember reading at the time that they are on the road traveling over 300 days a year.

How did Jermaine Tate get to be a Globetrotter? He had to be drafted for the Washington Generals. This is not a knock on Tate. Just that he didn't have any special skills like extreme hops or incredible ball handling or deadly accurate shooting that one would expect to be required for a Harlem Globetrotter.

And how cool are Wilks quotes from that article!! Wilks came in to UC as a Top 100 recruit, had unbelievable athleticism, and spent his entire career as a 8-15 minute per game back up. He could have easily transferred to an A10 or MAC school and been a 30 minute a game guy averaging double digit points. And despite all this the guy does nothing but rave about his love for UC. I gotta give him kudos for that!

Tate had far better skills than most people realize. He didn't display them much as a Bearcat because he usually deferred to Kenyon and Pete.

I think he meant.....was he the first drafted by the Globetrotters? I am not sure that they drafted players years ago but just signed all of them as free agents.

maybe they can't afford to. Not a lot of money in the budget and the fanbase suck

It is basically a list of guys they are inviting to try out for the team. Last year they drafted Mark Titus, former OSU walk on who is more well known for his blog than his basketball ability.
