How UC baseball players will spend their summers

The Bearcats’ baseball team announced 15 players’ summer league destinations.
Right-hander Andrew Strenge will pitch for the Hyannis (Mass.) Harbor Hawks of the prestigious Cape Cod League.
Four Bearcats will play for the Cincinnati Steam of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League: left-handed pitcher Cory Hough, right-hander Zach Isler, outfielder Jake Proctor and infielder Matt Williams, who is expected to play shortstop this summer after playing third base as a UC freshman.
The Steam’s UC quartet will face three Great Lakes opponents featuring UC freshmen. Ronald Cotton and Ethan McAlpine are expected to play outfield for the Lexington Hustlers and Hamilton Joes, respectively. Left-hander Alex Lilley will pitch for the Grand Lakes Mariners.
Catcher Jake Saylor and first baseman Nic Spence are heading to Little Falls, N.Y., to play for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs of the Perfect Game Collegiate League. They will face outfielder/catcher OF/C Braden Kline, who is signed up to play for the Cooperstown (N.Y.) Hawkeyes.
Third baseman Kiley Jones is slated to play for the Derby City League’s Louisville Angels, left-handed pitcher Jason Pascuzzi is headed to the Prospect League’s Lorain County (Ohio) Ironmen, and catcher Aaron Oesch will be among the Ohio Independent Collegiate League’s Chillicothe Capitals.
Infielder Ryan Quinn will play for the Northern Jersey Eagles of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League.
