Nope.  That is just your warp mind playing tricks on you dude!

Why does CUSA have so many schools ranked in the 100's?

Why is Syracuse ranked so low?

BTW; Dont forget that these guys also said that the Mac is better than CUSA.

Lotta teams in the MAC are better than Syracuse.

Oh yeah, i thought you guys may be interested in a poll that really matters, you know like one that the bcs uses. Enjoy;

So where is Syracuse at in these polls?  Not even one got damn vote for consideration.  A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

You rock cuseroc. You really do rock! 03-puke
Oh so you would like to take the conversation from the BE compared to CUSA 's rankings now that you have been smacked around and bring an individual school? Nice divirsion, although very transparent.

Do you feel that you have more room to smack Cuse in fb than bb/ because i noticed that you never once tried to smacck Syracuse bb when we were talking about UAB's "high profile" bb team. You did not want to go there did you?

I will play your game. But first, lets compare scedules last year. lets also look at wins and compare SU's wins against UAB's wins. Who did you beat? how many teams did you beat had a winning record?
If UAB did better in those areas than the Cuse, then you have room to smack. If not, shutup.

Oh yeah; the same goes for USM

Yeah, either you used to go by the name Yune or all USM fans hate bb, since your bb team absolutely sucks. " We suck at basketball, therefore it is unimportant, so we only care about fb".

USM beat 1 team with a winning record last year. And you guys also got blown out by Cincy, the #2 team in CUSA. Cuse beat cincy, as well as BC and Pitt. All bowl teams. How many bowl teams did USM or UAB beat? If Louisville was not in CUSA last year, Cuse, WV, pitt and Cincy all could have won CUSA last year.

So you really dont have room to smack Cuse. You guys beat a lousy sunbelt team. that was your lone win against a winning program last year. 04-drinky

No. But I do find it funny that you're trying to talk smack when you school isn't highly thought of at the moment in football.

Do you feel that you have more room to smack Cuse in fb than bb/ because i noticed that you never once tried to smacck Syracuse bb when we were talking about UAB's "high profile" bb team. You did not want to go there did you?

Who's talking basketball? This is football. But since you did mention it, I am a knowledgeable basketball fan and I know Syracuse has an outstanding basketball program, history and tradition. But we're talking Rutgers and UAB basketball so leave that to the other thread.

I will play your game. But first, lets compare scedules last year. lets also look at wins and compare SU's wins against UAB's wins. Who did you beat? how many teams did you beat had a winning record?

No lets compare the BE and CUSA rankings:

Sporting news ranked all 119 Div-1 teams

CUSA
#33 UAB
#40 USM
#46 Memphis
#55 UTEP
#62 Houston
#77 Tulane
#85 Marshall
#91 East Carolina
#102 Rice
#108 Tulsa
#113 SMU
#114 Central Florida

Big East
#19 Louisville
#29 Pittsburgh
#35 West Virginia
#73 Syracuse
#82 Conecticut
#83 South Florida
#93 Rutgers
#100 Cincinnati

After WVU, there is a huge drop off. The BE has 5 teams with a 70 or higher ranking while CUSA has 7 teams. Basically, SI is saying 5/8 of your 8-team league sucks. Not a good ratio for an 8-team league. Now for this to be a BCS conference, it doesn't make sense for any national publication to ranking BCS teams this low.

Go figure.

If we played your schedule, we would have finished the season ranked with 8 or 9 wins.

Cuse was 1 of 5 teams to have 14 straight winning seasons until 2002. That year we went 4-7. But since you want to cut it off at some odd year, we have gone 18 seasons with 1 losing season. in that time, we have gone to 3 bcs bowls, and numerous gator bowls, and compiling the best bowl winning percentage in the BE. that was with miami and VT.

Your record does not impress me since USM has played a very weak schedule over the years. No matter how bad Cuse's losses were, we still play a top 10-15 strength of schedule every year. To play our schedule and to come out without having a losing record is more impressive than USM beating the likes of Troy and a really bad nebraska, and Army etcc and coming out with barely a winning record.

For some reason you make fun of Uconn, but they beat the mac champion last year, who was really good. I was surprised to see Uconn manhandle them the way they did.

Why dont we compare the rankings that the bcs will be using in their assesment. Really those rankings are all that matter. The others are all fluff.

For every fluff ranking that cusa fans can use to make a case, I can post 3 or 4 that make you guys look really really bad. The ones that matter are the ones that are not very positive for cusa.
If these such rankings give you a reason for waking up in the morning, then run with it.

The top 3 in the BE appear to beat the top 3 in both CUSA and MWC, and we're a smaller conference.

If you were to just make a simple system from this where a #1 ranking was worth 119 points and a #119 ranking were worth 1 point (and a #2 would be worth 118 etc), you'd see that the average for the BE would be higher than that of either CUSA or MWC...at least based on the rankings this nuke guy is trying to use to prove the BE inferior.

I find it interesting how a USM fan attempts to mock a very legit ranked team in UL, and pittsburgh.

The BE will be fine especially if we add a quality 9th member...although that continues to be an issue.

And also for being a smaller conference SI is saying you have 5 not so good teams in a 8 team conference.

I don't put too much credence in these type of polls but this SI poll does tell you that the BE has fallen off big time. The CUSA rankings are status quo. We had 5 or 6 teams with low rankings last year.

Avg ranking for Top 3 in this poll is: CUSA 39.7, BE is 28.7, MWC is 38.8, WAC is 39, MAC is 34.7.

One could argue that the BE rankings should be much higher than that.

Hard to argue with that...alot of CUSA's best teams from last year left, but there are still plenty there that have been ranked in the past.

I don't think anyone would argue with the fact that the BE has fallen off. Even IF UL is as consistently good as Miami (remains to be seen), USF and UC are not at the level of Boston College and Va Tech.

But this is an absolutely terrific opportunity for a team or two to really step up for the conference. Obviously, BE fans are hoping it happens, while most other conferences either dont care or hope it wont.

Overall, it may take a few lucky bounces for the BE to keep its BCS bid long term. Then again, it's going to take some major overhauls for the besieged system to remain as is much longer anyway.

One must admit, college football is as fun to watch as ever, if not more so.

Typical response when you have nothing to counter. I am only concerned about the polls that matter. Those are the ones that the bcs uses. Sorry if you dont agree with this, simply because cusa is not received as well by the polls that count.

Not really. I did see in that poll where UTEP, Southern Miss, Memphis and UAB did receive votes so that tells me as long as we win games we have a good chance to get ranked.

Still looking for Syracuse and I.......can't seem to find them in this poll. Could you help me out cuseroc and help me locate them? I'm sure they got a consideration vote.

There you go again with a diversion tactic. We are talking about the BE compared to lil ole cusa. Nothing for you to trash there, so you take pride in the honorably mentioned category :) If Syracuse keeps winning, dont you think that we have the same opportunity to move into the rankings as well. I think we would move a whole lot faster than UAB and USM, if we keep winning with the schedule that we play.

BTW; how many cusa teams are actually ranked? enough said. I am still waiting for you to compare your wins last season to SU's wins. How many of your wins went on to bowls?

While your at it, why dont you tell us all how many cusa teams beat a BE team in fb last season.

To Loser, bitter SMiss fan who is stuck playing Central Florida, Rice, UTEP and SMU......

-Ah, yea, um....when your school gets it's accreditation back....come talk to us...and oh yea...again, we beat your a$$ last year 52-24 AT your hole of a stadium which is located in the hole of a campus in the hole of a city in the hole of a state that still hasn't figured out that the south lost the civil war.

And UC football graduation was 86% last year...which is probably higher than SMiss Grad rate...but even if it isn't....what the hell can one do with a degree from SMiss anyway since you have no accreditation?

OR....was it UAB that lost the accreditation? I'm so sorry, but I just can't tell you two southern second rate hillbilly schools apart....

You have so much in common:
Poor academics
Poor basketball
Pathetic conference
No fan base
And you both are and will always be in the shadows of the SEC

Good Luck against Central Florida!!
