Looks like the NCAA has heard the concerns of coaches who strongly feel that their programs should not be hurt if athletes leave early for the pros - provided they are in good standing.

The NCAA committee is going to change the academic performance calculation to adjust for this.

Also, the NCAAs may reward programs monetarily who finish in the Top 25% as well as most-improved teams.

Interesting read from the USA Today. It actually was written two days ago, but I don't remember seeing it linked.

I agree that colleges should not be penalized for players who get jobs in the pro leagues. Almost every college student I've known went to college to get the job they wanted. If they could have gotten it earlier, they would have taken it.
