Pitt and Syracuse left the conference for Big 10 and the Big East bring in ECU/Memphis????

WVU/USF fans would get ECU
UL/UC fans get Memphis
Rutgers would have Uconn

Can you really say that, it is obvious that Pitt/SU would leave (1 already tried to). Without Pitt/SU the football schools could split and add Memphis/ECU.

The BE is already scrutinized by other conferences for their BCS status; losing WVU and Pitt while adding Memphis and ECU would bring further scrutiny to the conference. So I would say No.

A.....yea......ah......can the current teams that actually make up the Big East have a chance together for a season or two before we start thinking of members leaving and other non-members joining?

SU, Pitt, WVU, RU, UCONN, UofL, USF, and UC should be given a chance to play as The Big East for at least 3-5 years before we start saying things like, "how about you go here, we invite so and so..let's drop so and so", etc. etc. al...

Go Bearcats!!!!!!!!

Uuum yes, I could see that. Loose Pitt and SU...add Memphis and ECU. We could even call it C-USAEAS-T. :bang:

I'm not one to pile on, but in the spirit of quick mercy killings we'll try logic.

Yes, he can. Here's why:

Quote:Without Pitt/SU the football schools could split and add Memphis/ECU.
Thus producing a watered down conference that would see each former BE member make even less money than before. Something tells me that's not the direction the BE schools are headed.

First off, you won't find the Big Ten taking in both Cuse and Pitt. Neither could truly survive as an independent. That was a bad, baseless internet idea. Don't take it any further.

IF that did happen would it stabilize the BE football conference? Yes, but they'd be out of the BCS and at that point the particular selections may not be valid. Again, not the direction the BE is headed. Neither ECU nor Memphis is worth the $6+ million dollars in increased revenue to warrant adding to the BE lineup.

Again, I beg all of you. Back away from the thread...

I totally agree with Gunner.

Why do any of us even bother to respond to Pushers threads. Look at all of the threads that he starts on this board or any, and you will see that he always trys to put some program into a negative light. I used to think that he was an Orange fan, but I dont think this guy is a fan of the BE at all. Just a trouble maker.

Really I don't think they look alike at all. The new Big East logo is simply the old old one updated and frankly it looks very futuristic. At first I didn't think much of it but now its grown on me.
