The atmosphere at UofL is directly related to the competition. When the Cards are playing somebody that captures the interest of the fans, Papa Johns is a great home field advantage. If it is a school that no ones really cares about, it is a great tailgating school and the fans will eventually get into their seats. It may be too bad, but very few schools in C-USA interested UofL fans. But for "good" games......very fanatic fans.

Things will be very different with the BE teams coming in. When WVU, Pitt, SU, UConn come, PJCS will be VERY loud and crazy.

BTW, UofL was voted something like the #1 tailgate school in the country a couple of years ago, believe it or not. And in fact, the tailgating is the best I've seen anywhere!

I will say when Uof L fans come to UC - they are very loud! And organized. They know their cheers and they do them often. When WVU came to UC a few years ago they brought around 5000 people (I think) and they made a lot of noise for that many.

UC fans usually only cheer when something good happens or when the defense makes a big stop or when things get interesting down near the goal lines. I would love for our fans to cheer like Louisvile fans do.

Yep and I'm taking full advantage. :)

8 points (in 1984 mind you) is a butt whooping?
8 points is a lot when you consider Nebraska was ranked #1 at the time and Cuse was not even on the radar yet. So your answer is yes, it was a butt whipping.

As far as toughest stadium, I would say WVU's Mountaineer field is probably the best, but I dunno.
Papa John's is not a real rough place to play I would think, but it is a great place to watch a game and to tailgate. We have alot of fun at games. The student do heckle, and the crowd does cheer and most everyone is into the game, but for sheer noise factor, the way it is designed and with the plastic seat not metal there is not as much noise I would think as some other places. Except the cruch zone of course.
