My wife and I try to take at least one good road trip each season. Last year we had a great time in Chapel Hill. Shutting out one of the ACC's bowl teams was just icing on the cake.

This year we're going on short trips to Kentucky and Cincinnati, and then over the weekend to Morgantown. It should be high energy.

I've done RU vs. Temple and RU vs. BC. Next year I will likely do RU vs. Cincy. Last year we were supposed to do RU vs. Navy as well but something else came up last minute. This year I'm probably going to Miami @ Temple but that's likely it.

Pitt - our upset win at Heinz field in front of about 30,000
Alabama - played in Birmingham, football is life to those tide fans, got the snot beat out of us
UAB - much different than the Alabama game, maybe 10,000 attended...whipped UAB
Louisville - great fans
ECU - maybe the best atmosphere out of all the away games I attended
Troy - all I remember is that we got our tails whipped in that small town and small stadium
Middle Tennessee St. - very very embarassing loss, one of only about 10 other Bulls fans to make the trip

This year I am going to the Northwestern-Ohio game (Solich's first game). I have some friends that are Northwestern fans and have a good friend who knows Solich from Nebraska.

I plan on going to at least a couple Northern Illinois games. They are 30 minutes from my home and have great fan-friendly stadium. When I went to the NIU-Maryland game two years ago, I was standing in line when they posted "sold-out". I turned and the athletic director was standing a few feet away. I asked him about the sold out status. He game me 4 tickets and said enjoy the game. NIU is fun!

I may make my way up to Wisconsin this year. I have been meaning to try a Badger game since moving to Chicago-land.

I should be offered Notre Dame tickets this year. A friend usually calls me to visit South Bend.

It is too bad the Pirates don't try to schedule a game vs Northwestern/Northern Illinois/Purdue/Wisconsin/Illinois/Iowa. I want to see my Pirates!

Kentucky (2 times), Tennessee, West Virginia, Kent St., Indiana St. (in the Hoosier, er , RCA Dome - probably the worst performance by a Bearcat football team I have ever witnessed in person, and that includes the shellacking at WVU I saw. UC simply did not care about this game), Miami (OH), Eastern Kentucky (not a UC game), Motor City Bowl against Toledo.

I may try to go to UC at Pitt this year.
