that was definitely decent article....Paul Dee knows what he is talkiing about.....it's funny how unbias Dees was talking about how hare it is to play at wv, pitt, and syracuse......when all of the sports publications think it's going to be a cake walk for UofL....i hate how the media is trying to state that its going to be a cake walk....while i understand that UofL does not believe it....however, if UofL loses a couple of games to old big east teams....wvu,pitt, and/or syracuse....the media will say that UofL was overrated...... the new big east is a strong conference....period.

it's not even close between the MWC vs NBE....if you use the Sagarin rankings and do a statisical analysis from the end of 2004-2005 season....the NBE is 10+ points ahead. For the MWC...throw out the #1 team and their worst team (Utah and Unlv) and you get a sagarin rating of 61.30....using the NBE throw out our #1 team (UofL)and our worst team(USF)=a sargin rating of 71.89...that is almost 11 points better....therefore any comparison between MVC vs NBE top to bottom is crazy...not even close...

by throwing out the best and worst teams...statisically it gives the central tendency of the conference. do the same calculation for the remaining 5 BCS conferences and u will see the MWC or no other below the NBE are even close to the 6 BCS conferences.

The National Media not Planet Red feels that way. Like Coach Petrino said it is going to be a whole different world playing Syracuse, WVU and Pitt. He has stated going to WVU and playing in Morgantown has him very concerned.

In the C-USA we knew we had some breathers in Tulane, ECU and Army. That is not the case in the Big East, Rutgers can also bit you in the arse, just ask Michigan State and former UofL coach John L. Smith about the Scarlet Knights.

Yes we do know how to be pains in the rear. It'd be nice if we could be pains in the rear to everyone and start winning more games.

I agree, Louisville knows they're in for a fight. I really think Louisville will finish the season with the Big East title this year, but they'll possibly have at least one loss. I think the Big East will also have 3 Top 25 teams at the end of the season. Something people need to remember, if Louisville or Pitt loses to another Big East school that Big East school has a chance of cracking the Top 25, especially if it's someone like West Virginia. Whoever wins the Big East will probably be ranked between 10 or 12 in the final BCS rankings unless someone like Louisville or Pitt goes buck wild and blows through their schedule.
