No, we just have road trips to the Greater NYC area. BTW I still don't understand why a Houston/Rice/UTSA/SFA/PVSU fan is on a Big East Board.

I would much rather go to Broadway Show then to a dust bowl. Been to Fort Bliss, HATED it.

Yes there are plenty of hotties up North. I guess some people are still fighting the Civil War or is it the War Between the States that you folks call it? Either way it's been over for 140 years now, I think its time to drop it already.

West Virginia and Delaware in the south? That's funny. I don't care where the mason-dixon line is...Maryland is the north.

You have to love ECU Pirate thinking.....We don't want to join a BCS conference and compete for a National Title like UofL, UC and USF choose to do because we know we won't be able to go to a BCS Bowl game and there won't be a 2nd tier bowl game available to our 6-6 or 7-5 club. Pirate I hate to break the news to ya but there's not a "2nd Tier" bowl game as you call it available to you now in CUSA. Lets review quickly......BCS Bowls Top Tier...Sugar, Fiesta, Rose and Orange. 2nd Tier games...Gator, Outback, Cotton and any other New Years Day Bowl...CUSA's top prize is the Liberty Bowl. Now the Liberty is a great bowl and our future conference brothers in Memphis do a fantastic job hosting it but at best the Liberty Bowl is Tier 3 as are all bowls that play on New Years Eve. Let me simplify this for you...New Years Eve Bowls...Good, New Year Day Bowls Better and Bowls that happen after New Years Day....Best.
BTW I would not worry to much about this anyway. You folks at ECU aren't going to get a Big East invite anyway.

Shouldn't you be over on the CUSA crowing about your "new 12 team geographical sensible all sports conference" or something to that effect. I know perhaps you could replace your Memphis to the Big East web campaign with the CUSA 12 team geographical sensible all sports conference web site...Just a thought...

West Virginia is an odd hybrid of Northeastern, Southern, and Midwestern. I'd call it an Appalachian culture. Politically its ties are to the Northeast and the South. When it comes to public planning especially that of transportation its links are very much in line with the rest of the Northeast, ie. the EZPass electronic toll collection system found on the NJ Turnpike, NY State Thruway, the George Washington Bridge, the Mass Pike, the Ben Franklin Bridge, etc. Its flagship state university's athletics and academics are tied to Northeastern institutions such as Rutgers, Syracuse, and Pitt because of Big East membership and also longtime athletic partnerships/rivalries with Rutgers, Temple, Pitt, and PSU. So West Virginia is basically a Northeastern state. Delaware and Maryland while prior to the time of the civil war were certainly southern states, since then with the rapid industrialization and technological revolutions that have started in the Northeast (also the Midwest and later the Pacific West as well) and their prominent positions along the Northeast Corridor, BosWash, BosNyWash, or Megalopolis have certainly made them clearly in the Northeast. Culturally and economically they always had much more in common with say New England or New York because of their maritime nature. Let's face it crabcakes go with clam chowder alot better than they do with say Ham and Grits. So Maryland and Delaware without a question are Northeastern states. If we were to go with a true Northeastern conference I'd guess it'd look like this:
Buffalo
Rutgers
Temple
Pittsburgh
West Virginia
Maryland
Delaware
Syracuse
Boston College
Connecticut
Penn State
Cincinnati (since we'd need a 12th member)

So yeah Wikipedia probably isn't correct in reality but officially at least Maryland and West Virginia do belong to the Southern Governor's association. Delaware it should be noted does not.

The next time a BE team wins a NC, you'll get my attention. Until then, you're over hyped and the only reason you get a seat at the table is number of TV sets in your states.

The point is we have a seat at the table, a reserved seat as a matter of fact. The first time your Knights go to a bowl game, any bowl game, you'll get my attention. Now scurry back over to the CUSA board and build that program. If you can continue to work hard you might beat out Florida Atlantic for that Big East invite your school covets... :D  :D
