I was surprised he was drafted, considering the production he has had over the last 4 years and his size and strength. He has all the tools to be a solid QB in the NFL and is tough. Hopefully he gets a shot somewhere.

I think he gets picked up by someone...Somebody in the NFL is in need of a 3rd string guy or a qb for the practice squad that can be developed in Europe next season.

Dan Hoard just said he was signed by the Tennessee Titans.

Good fit considering McNair isn't getting any younger.

9 news also just said that Gino has signed a 3-yr free agent contract with the Titans, and will get the majority of the snaps at first until the veterans are healthy.
Congrats and good luck to Gino! 04-cheers

thanks for the update guys...i am really surprised he didn't get drafted. in my eyes he was one of the top 10 prospects and to have a backup qb from usc and someone from tulsa selected ahead of him should get him motivated...tennessee hould be a good situation for him....good luck gino!!!

Timmy Change and Jason White were also not drafted, while Lefors went in the 4th round. It's hard to figure out what those scouts look for some times.

The Titans hired Norm Chow as their new offensive coordinator in 2005, replacing Mike Heimerdinger, who left to become offensive coordinator for the New York Jets. The highly celebrated Chow joins the Titans after four seasons as offensive coordinator at the University of Southern California and 32 years on the collegiate level.

"This is an important addition to our team," said Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. "He is one of the most respected offensive minds in the college game and has been for decades. In studying him and his offense, I am certain that his philosophy is consistent with ours and his experience will allow us the opportunity to improve."

In 32 years of coaching at the collegiate level, Chow has tasted every aspect of success, including three national titles (BYU, 1984; USC, 2003, 2004), tutoring three Heisman Trophy winners (Ty Detmer, Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart), 27 bowl games, and three times being named assistant coach of the year. Amazingly, he has worked with eight of the NCAA's top 30 career passing efficiency leaders.

Chow has been associated with some of the best quarterbacks and offensive minds in the college and pro ranks. Among the quarterbacks associated with his teams are Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young, Jim McMahon, Marc Wilson, Gifford Nielsen, Ty Detmer, Robbie Bosco, Philip Rivers, Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart. He has coached with Mike Holmgren, Andy Reid, Brian Billick, Ted Tollner and Doug Scovil, all of whom have enjoyed a great deal of success at the NFL level.

A great guy for Gino to be under...

Good for Gino!

It's funny how a season can dramtically change for players.

Jason White a Heisman trophy winner does not get drafted yet a quarterback from TU(James Kilian ) get's picked in the 4th to the Chiefs.

I am not surprised at all Jason White wasnt drafted, how many knee surgeries has he had? Probably about 3 in his 5 years at Oklahoma, plus anyone that has watched him play can tell he isn't an NFL type of QB at all. He was a decent-to-good college QB who had boatloads of All-Americans surrounding him at Oklahoma...

Both of those guys suck. Probably better athletes than Gino, but not better Quarterbacks. Titans must be in some serious trouble signing all these Free Agent QB's.

With the fact that both their top 2 guys are going to be out for minicamp, I'd imagine they want extra QBs for practice if nothing else. This will give them all ample time to impress the coaches, and they can then choose 1 to be the 3rd string QB.

I like Gino's chances if those two are the competition to make the roster...
