West Virginia, UConn, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Louisville would alone make one hellva basketball league. Plus Rutgers and the way USF played at the end of the year why not break apart from the basketball onlys.

Being real and knowing Penn State and ND would never leave their situations why not just add ECU or Memphis if not both and have a very good All Sports league to build off on.

Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia would carry the Football side with UC, UConn and USF gaining momentum and we all know about the basketball at Louisville, Cincinnati, Syracuse and UConn. Those 4 with Pitt and West Virginia on the rebound.

When the split happens, this will be a very, very potent basketball bunch, regardless of the 9th member.

Yep....NCAA units/bball TV cash is one of the better reasons for the split...the football schools are on TV more/earn most of the NCAA units...I think TexanMark had a good stat a couple days ago...5 out of the last 6 BE tourny championship games have been football school vs football school...with the addition of UC and UL that trend is likely to continue
