Co-owned (Jets & Giants) new domed stadium at The Meadowlands. Granted, it's not the west side of Manhattan, but if the original plan falls through, this could be complete for the 2008 season. We could still have a bowl game, just probably not called The Big Apple Bowl.

$900 million dollars for a stadium!!! That is insane. Even more insane is how much the West Side Stadium would cost!

I am trying to figure out why he is even over here. I can understand ECU and Memphis but not Rice/Houston.

actually, its a secret plan jackson uncovered. Buffalo, hartford, UMaine and a few others are involved. Might even be a couple of European schools interested.

I feel sorry for Coog fans. Remember when Houston was good!! I was about 4-5 years old, back then, Wham and the Police were the hot new bands. Now they rush the floor if the win at home against teams like ours when we have two top players out. It really is sad...[Image: laughing.gif]

It may be the Big Apple Bowl after all. It would suck if the Giants left New Jersey...

IMHO, the Jets and Giants should have two separate facilities. One team does need to relocate back to NYC. I want a domed stadium in NYC.

I would much rather see the Manhattan stadium get built, as it could also host the EAC basketball tournament when the split occurs.

It looks like the state of New Jersey is burning its bridges with the Giants. The state took the team to court today and it seems the Giants aren't too happy about it...

Guys, lay off Topcoog. He's naturally excited about the new SWC. It'll be Houston, UTEP, SMU, Rice, Abliene Christian, Trinity (TX), Sam Houston St, Lamar, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
