Per Memphis AD RC Johnson this morning on (the lesser) one of Memphis' sports talk stations. One of them at home each year and one of them on the road.

That is good news for Memphis--they deserve some decent OOC opponents. Plus it keeps them on TV. Syracuse or UConn should look into playing them on TV in Nov or Dec for a nice TV game.

Good news is we've now at least got one guaranteed sellout every year. Something tells me those games against Rice and SMU will not be quite as big a deal.

Let's be honest...if Louisville and Cincinnati were to play 2 games each against CUSA teams, wouldn't you be surprised to NOT see Memphis on their schedules?!?

I was a little more concerned about the Louisville series, with all the "bad blood" between the schools, I wasn't sure it was going to happen. I felt pretty confident that Cincy would get done.

Even though the new Big East basketball is going to be absolutely dog-eat-dog brutal, you can't just manufacture great rivalries; Louisville-Memphis must continue [Image: punch.gif]
