They will be in the MAC for all sports. They still get the Big 5 and other rivals for OOC basketball and other sports.

That's exactly what has been hinted at the last few weeks. A lot of MAC and Temple fans have been saying that it could be announced in the next few weeks. The only reason Temple basketball will stay in the A-10 is because John Chaney doesn't want to leave the A-10. It's the same reason why Temple isn't in C-USA in All-Sports, or at least got serious consideration for an invitation to C-USA, which, I think, would have been the perfect home for them.

John Chaney is old and past his coaching prime! Temple had better start thinking about its future!

With Marshall and UCF leaving, the MAC will be at 12 schools. Why would they want to go to an odd number like 13 by adding Temple?

Because there is talk that they will also add Western Kentucky if they move up or Middle Tennessee State or some other program.

they are saying that Western Ky will be added as a all sports member soon...so that would give them another team...i think Temple really F'ed up not trying to get in the C-USA when we were expanding...but they just arn't looking ahead...too bad for them.

Go Tigers!!!

-- ECU, UCF and Marshall stick out like a sore thumb in CUSA already....adding a team from Philly into a Texas based league would be like adding a school from another planet...even if Temple was interested....the travel costs from Philly to El Paso or Tulsa for the Owls non revenue sports would be huge...a small urban/private school like Temple just couldn't afford it...especially since the BCS check isn't coming in anymore
